We’re looking for a polished, results-driven Corporate Sales Manager who thrives on consultative selling and building lasting business relationships. If you’re passionate about hospitality and ready to position Laurel Manor as Metro Detroit’s premier corporate venue, we’d love to meet you.

Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect and develop new corporate accounts including businesses, associations, nonprofits, government agencies, and third-party meeting planners
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all corporate event inquiries received through the website, phone calls, walk-ins, referrals, Cvent, LinkedIn, and other lead channels
  • Sell and secure corporate events including meetings and conferences, holiday parties, employee appreciation events, award ceremonies, product launches, team-building events, client entertainment dinners, annual galas and all business-related events
  • Conduct venue tours and site inspections tailored to corporate clients’ specific logistical and brand requirements
  • Initiate and maintain strong long-term relationships with corporate decision-makers, executive assistants, HR professionals, and event planners
  • Create customized event proposals aligned to client objectives, brand standards, attendee experience goals, and budget parameters
  • Negotiate food and beverage minimums, venue fees, A/V packages, and corporate event contracts
  • Generate contracts and sales agreements with accurate terms and timelines
  • Maintain accurate account records, pipeline activity, and sales notes within Tripleseat or equivalent CRM
  • Collaborate with culinary, A/V, operations, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless handoffs from sale to execution
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts with recurring annual business potential
  • Represent Laurel Manor at corporate networking events, chamber of commerce functions, trade shows, and business expos to drive brand awareness and generate leads
  • Stay current on corporate event trends, competitor venue offerings, and emerging client needs within the Metro Detroit business community
  • Partner with marketing to develop targeted corporate sales collateral, email campaigns, and account-based outreach strategies
  • Track and report on sales pipeline, booking pace, and revenue performance against established goals
  • Follow up consistently with prospective and past clients to maintain top-of-mind awareness and encourage repeat business
  • Support leadership with additional strategic initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in corporate sales, catering sales, hotel sales, conference center sales, or hospitality group sales required
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B or corporate sales environment
  • Strong understanding of the corporate event planning process and the expectations of business clients
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to present confidently to senior executives and decision-makers
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage a robust account pipeline
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and concurrent event bookings in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Professional, polished demeanor with a business-forward mindset and an understanding of corporate culture and client expectations
  • Experience with Tripleseat, Salesforce, or similar CRM and event management platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with occasional evening and weekend availability to support key client events and entertainment opportunities
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and collaborative with a genuine commitment to client success and team excellence

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary planning contact for wedding receptions, social events, and corporate events after contracts are secured by the Sales Manager
  • Maintain client contact and effective communication throughout the planning process to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage team, and Executive Chef to ensure successful execution of weddings, social events, and corporate functions
  • Detail events and generate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event resumes, room diagrams, timelines, and related event documentation for upcoming functions
  • Communicate all plans, details, timelines, and special arrangements for events with responsible departments including culinary, operations, banquet staff, and management teams
  • Coordinate with preferred vendors and external service providers including florists, entertainment, decorators, photographers, transportation, rentals, and audiovisual providers to ensure complete client satisfaction
  • Conduct planning meetings, menu consultations, and final detail appointments with clients
  • Ensure all client requests, dietary accommodations, floor plans, and event specifications are properly documented and communicated internally
  • Be present onsite at the start of each event to ensure proper setup, event readiness, and client satisfaction
  • Monitor event execution and proactively address any client or operational concerns to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Review banquet checks and final billing for accuracy following each event
  • Follow up with client’s post-event to gather feedback and maintain positive relationships
  • Attend internal wedding showcase tastings, menu presentations, and venue events
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from booking through execution
  • Maintain accurate event records and planning notes within Tripleseat or similar event management software
  • Support management with additional projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in wedding planning, event management, catering, hospitality, banquet operations, or venue coordination required
  • Strong understanding of wedding receptions, social events, corporate events, and banquet execution
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a hospitality-first mindset
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced event environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate client and operational needs
  • Experience creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floorplans, event timelines, and detailed event documentation preferred
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with culinary, operations, sales, and banquet teams
  • Experience with Tripleseat or similar event management software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules and business demands

  • Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process 
  • Create customized event proposals tailored to each client’s vision, guest count, and budget 
  • Negotiate food and beverage minimums, venue fees, and event packages 
  • Generate contracts and sales agreements to secure business 
  • Maintain accurate client records, notes, and sales activity within Tripleseat 
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and event teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution 
  • Communicate event details, expectations, and special requests clearly with internal departments 
  • Attend wedding shows, bridal expos, networking events, and community events to promote Laurel Manor and generate new business opportunities 
  • Stay knowledgeable about wedding and event trends, competitor offerings, venue capabilities, menus, and service enhancements 
  • Follow up with past and prospective clients to maintain strong relationships and encourage referrals 
  • Support management with additional projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in wedding sales, catering sales, hospitality sales, event planning, or venue sales required
  • Proven ability to successfully convert wedding and social event inquiries into booked business while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals in a hospitality or event-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of the weddings and celebrations event planning process and the expectations of the clients
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to confidently guide clients through the sales and booking process 
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through 
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Professional, polished, and warm personality with a hospitality-first mindset 
  • Experience with Tripleseat or similar event management/sales software preferred
