Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect and develop new corporate accounts including businesses, associations, nonprofits, government agencies, and third-party meeting planners
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all corporate event inquiries received through the website, phone calls, walk-ins, referrals, Cvent, LinkedIn, and other lead channels
  • Sell and secure corporate events including meetings and conferences, holiday parties, employee appreciation events, award ceremonies, product launches, team-building events, client entertainment dinners, annual galas and all business-related events
  • Conduct venue tours and site inspections tailored to corporate clients’ specific logistical and brand requirements
  • Initiate and maintain strong long-term relationships with corporate decision-makers, executive assistants, HR professionals, and event planners
  • Create customized event proposals aligned to client objectives, brand standards, attendee experience goals, and budget parameters
  • Negotiate food and beverage minimums, venue fees, A/V packages, and corporate event contracts
  • Generate contracts and sales agreements with accurate terms and timelines
  • Maintain accurate account records, pipeline activity, and sales notes within Tripleseat or equivalent CRM
  • Collaborate with culinary, A/V, operations, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless handoffs from sale to execution
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts with recurring annual business potential
  • Represent Laurel Manor at corporate networking events, chamber of commerce functions, trade shows, and business expos to drive brand awareness and generate leads
  • Stay current on corporate event trends, competitor venue offerings, and emerging client needs within the Metro Detroit business community
  • Partner with marketing to develop targeted corporate sales collateral, email campaigns, and account-based outreach strategies
  • Track and report on sales pipeline, booking pace, and revenue performance against established goals
  • Follow up consistently with prospective and past clients to maintain top-of-mind awareness and encourage repeat business
  • Support leadership with additional strategic initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in corporate sales, catering sales, hotel sales, conference center sales, or hospitality group sales required
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B or corporate sales environment
  • Strong understanding of the corporate event planning process and the expectations of business clients
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to present confidently to senior executives and decision-makers
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage a robust account pipeline
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and concurrent event bookings in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Professional, polished demeanor with a business-forward mindset and an understanding of corporate culture and client expectations
  • Experience with Tripleseat, Salesforce, or similar CRM and event management platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct venue tours and site inspections for prospective clients 
  • Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process 
  • Create customized event proposals tailored to each client’s vision, guest count, and budget 
  • Negotiate food and beverage minimums, venue fees, and event packages 
  • Generate contracts and sales agreements to secure business 
  • Maintain accurate client records, notes, and sales activity within Tripleseat 
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and event teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution 
  • Communicate event details, expectations, and special requests clearly with internal departments 
  • Attend wedding shows, bridal expos, networking events, and community events to promote Laurel Manor and generate new business opportunities 
  • Stay knowledgeable about wedding and event trends, competitor offerings, venue capabilities, menus, and service enhancements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in wedding sales, catering sales, hospitality sales, event planning, or venue sales required
  • Proven ability to successfully convert wedding and social event inquiries into booked business while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals in a hospitality or event-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of the weddings and celebrations event planning process and the expectations of the clients
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to confidently guide clients through the sales and booking process 
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating marketing and communication strategies for Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi, all operating under the leadership of Chef Luciano DelSignore. While each business maintains its own brand identity, audience, and objectives, the Marketing Manager will provide coordinated strategic and creative support across all three. The role oversees website content, digital marketing, organic and paid social media, advertising, public relations, photography and video, brand partnerships, sales collateral, event and restaurant promotions, and reputation management. Working closely with Chef Luciano, Sales and Marketing leadership, Culinary, Operations, and outside agencies, the Marketing Manager will strengthen each brand, generate qualified event leads and dining reservations, support revenue growth, and identify thoughtful opportunities for cross-promotion.

Marketing Strategy & Multi-Brand Management

  • Develop and implement individual marketing and public relations strategies for Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi based on each business’s goals, audiences, revenue priorities, and market positioning.
  • Create annual, seasonal, and campaign-specific marketing plans for weddings, corporate and social events, private dining, restaurant promotions, culinary experiences, holidays, and other priority business segments.
  • Maintain a distinct and consistent brand identity, voice, and visual presentation for each business across all marketing channels and guest or client touchpoints.
  • Maintain a coordinated marketing calendar across the three businesses to manage priorities, deadlines, campaigns, events, content needs, and promotional opportunities.
  • Identify appropriate cross-promotional opportunities among Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi while protecting the individual positioning and character of each brand.
  • Support the visibility of Chef Luciano DelSignore’s culinary leadership, accomplishments, appearances, partnerships, and involvement across the businesses.

Website, Digital Marketing & Online Presence

  • Manage and maintain website content for Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi, including event pages, menus, packages, private dining information, photography, promotions, calls to action, lead forms, and search-friendly copy.
  • Coordinate website updates with internal stakeholders and outside web or digital partners, ensuring content is current, accurate, visually consistent, and easy for prospective clients and restaurant guests to navigate.
  • Develop and oversee digital campaigns through search, display, retargeting, email, and other relevant channels to generate qualified event leads, dining reservations, private dining inquiries, and awareness.
  • Maintain accurate and compelling content across relevant platforms and directories, including wedding and event channels for Laurel Manor and restaurant, reservation, ordering, review, and local business platforms for eFiori and Casa Pernoi.
  • Monitor website traffic, search performance, lead and reservation sources, conversion activity, and campaign results by business, and recommend improvements based on performance data.
  • Maintain organized access, documentation, and brand assets for all websites, digital platforms, directories, email systems, and marketing technology.

Social Media, Content & Community Engagement

  • Develop, coordinate, execute, and maintain social media strategies for Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create and manage separate but coordinated content calendars that reflect each brand’s voice, audience, business goals, and promotional priorities.
  • Create content highlighting weddings, corporate and social events, private dining, culinary offerings, seasonal menus, special experiences, venue and restaurant features, testimonials, Chef Luciano, team members, and community involvement.
  • Produce, edit, schedule, and publish organic content while coordinating paid social campaigns with outside agencies or advertising partners.
  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and engagement across all accounts, and ensure inquiries are acknowledged or directed to the appropriate team member promptly.
  • Build relationships with local influencers, content creators, wedding professionals, meeting planners, culinary partners, community organizations, and media contacts to expand reach and generate relevant content.

Advertising, Public Relations & Media

  • Develop and execute media plans for each business that may include digital advertising, print advertising, sponsored content, email marketing, local media placements, directory listings, and strategic partnerships.
  • Write and coordinate advertising copy, press releases, media pitches, promotional announcements, business descriptions, executive talking points, and other external communications.
  • Manage media opportunities, property and restaurant visits, interviews, photography sessions, video production, and editorial requests in coordination with leadership and operations.
  • Maintain relationships with local media, hospitality, culinary, wedding and event industry contacts, community partners, and relevant publications.
  • Support public relations initiatives that generate positive exposure for Laurel Manor, eFiori, Casa Pernoi, Chef Luciano, culinary offerings, events, renovations, partnerships, and community involvement.
  • Assist leadership with crisis communication coordination and ensure external messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned with approved direction.

Creative Services, Collateral & Brand Standards

  • Write, design, update, and coordinate visual materials for event packages, menus, private dining materials, brochures, sales proposals, invitations, presentations, signage, advertisements, social media, email campaigns, websites, and internal communications.
  • Create professional PowerPoint and Canva presentations for ownership, sales initiatives, client proposals, strategic partnerships, showcases, media opportunities, and business development.
  • Coordinate photography, video, graphic design, printing, and production projects with internal teams and outside creative partners across all three businesses.
  • Maintain organized and current libraries of approved photography, video, logos, brand files, templates, menus, sales collateral, and campaign assets for each business.
  • Ensure all printed and digital materials follow the appropriate brand standards and that outdated materials are removed from circulation.
  • Review copy, layouts, pricing, dates, operating information, contact details, menu descriptions, and event information for accuracy before materials are published or distributed.

Event Marketing, Restaurant Promotions & Partnerships

  • Develop marketing plans for Laurel Manor showcases, open houses, tasting events, community events, promotional experiences, and other on-site or off-site initiatives.
  • Develop and support promotions for eFiori and Casa Pernoi, including seasonal menus, holiday dining, culinary events, private dining, special experiences, gift cards, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing timelines, invitations, registration or reservation pages, promotional materials, advertising, partner participation, content capture, and post-event follow-up.
  • Build local brand partnerships that increase awareness, enhance the client or guest experience, and create mutually beneficial promotional opportunities.
  • Support the development and promotion of seasonal offers, value-added packages, limited-time promotions, and new experiences in coordination with Sales, Culinary, Operations, and leadership.
  • Represent Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi at selected networking events, hospitality functions, culinary programs, community events, and industry activities as appropriate.

Sales, Culinary & Operations Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Laurel Manor Sales team to understand booking pace, priority dates, lead quality, conversion trends, client needs, and opportunities requiring additional marketing support.
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership and culinary teams to understand reservation trends, menu launches, private dining opportunities, guest preferences, special events, and promotional priorities for eFiori and Casa Pernoi.
  • Develop campaigns and materials that support Laurel Manor’s wedding, corporate, social, nonprofit, cultural, and special event revenue goals and the restaurants’ dining, private event, and promotional objectives.
  • Partner with Culinary and Operations to accurately promote menus, service experiences, venue capabilities, restaurant experiences, event spaces, and new offerings.
  • Attend relevant sales, marketing, culinary, leadership, and operational meetings and provide updates on campaigns, priorities, performance, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing timelines and deliverables across locations and departments to ensure promotions can be executed operationally and communicated consistently.

Agency Management, Analytics & Reporting

  • Manage relationships with outside agencies and vendors supporting public relations, social media, digital marketing, advertising, website development, photography, video, graphic design, and printing.
  • Establish clear scopes, priorities, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance expectations for outside partners across the three businesses.
  • Review agency recommendations and ensure strategies remain aligned with the appropriate brand, audience, goals, and business priorities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on marketing activity, campaign performance, agency productivity, website results, social engagement, lead generation, reservations, and key accomplishments by business.
  • Analyze marketing results and identify meaningful trends, opportunities, and areas requiring adjustment or additional investment.
  • Maintain competitive analyses of relevant event venues, wedding destinations, private dining businesses, restaurants, hospitality brands, and local market activity.
  • Track marketing expenses and assist leadership with budget planning, forecasting, invoice review, allocation of shared costs, and return-on-investment evaluation.

Reputation Management & General Responsibilities

  • Monitor online reviews, ratings, social mentions, and reputation management channels for all three businesses, and coordinate timely, professional responses with leadership and the appropriate teams.
  • Identify recurring feedback themes and share relevant insights with Sales, Culinary, Operations, and leadership to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail while working across multiple brands and locations.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, vendors, campaigns, and priorities in fast-paced event and restaurant environments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, guests, employees, vendors, agencies, community partners, media contacts, and business organizations.
  • Perform additional marketing, communication, and business development duties as assigned by Chef Luciano DelSignore and leadership.
  • Support the hospitality, brand presentation, communication, client and guest experience, and service standards of Laurel Manor, eFiori, and Casa Pernoi.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of marketing, social media, digital marketing, communications, or public relations experience; hospitality, events, weddings, restaurants, culinary, or related lifestyle experience is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing social media content and managing organic and paid digital campaigns across multiple accounts or brands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, photo and video editing tools, email marketing platforms, survey tools, and similar programs.
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems, web design principles, search optimization, digital analytics, online directory management, and reputation platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize multiple priorities, manage deadlines, coordinate vendors, and follow projects through completion.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify long-term trends, measure campaign performance, and translate results into practical recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain distinct brand standards and accuracy across multiple channels, businesses, and materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Chef Luciano, Sales, Culinary, Operations, leadership, outside agencies, and community partners.
  • Ability to support on-site marketing and content needs across Laurel Manor and the Birmingham restaurant locations.
  • Availability to support occasional evening or weekend events, photo shoots, restaurant promotions, showcases, and other activities as business needs require.
