5 Things Top Banquet Halls Should Include in Their Packages

Searching for banquet halls near you in West Bloomfield, MI, or the surrounding areas? Searching for the perfect banquet hall can be challenging. Many standard banquet halls quote a low rental fee, but add essential items as additional charges.

This can make it hard to stick to your budget and find banquet halls with all your desired amenities.

At Laurel Manor Banquet & Conference Center, our halls are perfect for weddings, graduations, corporate events, and other parties. Contact us today to learn more about our event packages.

5 Things Top Banquet Halls Should Include in Their Packages

The best banquet halls should give you a seamless experience with transparent packaging and full-service solutions. Full-service banquet halls with parking and other amenities generally offer all-inclusive packages that don’t have any hidden fees.

These all-inclusive options can simplify your event planning, help you stay within budget, and lock in your final cost.

Five features you should look for in great event halls include:

1. In-House Cuisine

Banquet halls with catering should go beyond the basics and provide in-house, chef-created food. The menu should offer a gourmet experience, with real, high-quality food and a variety of menu options to suit different guest dietary preferences.

Not all banquet halls provide in-house cuisine–many standard venues require you to hire your own caterers. Or, they force you to use their own preferred caterers. This results in additional setup fees, kitchen fees, and insurance costs. Not to mention, the hassle of coordinating with the caterers on top of other vendors.

At all-inclusive banquet halls, you can expect custom menu design, with the ability to incorporate unique dishes. Menus should also have multiple courses included in the package, including dessert.

2. Linens & Place Settings

Basic banquet halls focus on functional, practical place settings. For example, simple white linen and standard china. Any upgrades to linens and settings come at an additional cost.

At all-inclusive banquet halls, you can typically find upgrades within the base package. Many times you can find packages with premium linens, as well as upgraded china, silverware, and glassware.

3. Non-Stop Bar Service

Beverages and bar services can quickly sink a budget. Many banquet halls charge hourly for liquor licenses and bartender fees. Other venues only include beer and wine within their base package and charge extra for liquor upgrades.

An all-inclusive option provides comprehensive bar service for a certain duration, so you know exactly what to expect for your budget.

4. Day-Of Coordination

To ensure your event unfolds seamlessly, you’ll need day-of coordination. Many venues only rent you the event space, leaving you to hire your own third-party coordinator. On top of other vendors, this can be costly.

An ideal vendor is able to handle logistics, setup, and managing all the vendors. The best banquet halls provide dedicated support from an internal event coordinator.

Not only do these professionals provide day-of coordination, but you should also have access to them throughout the entire event-planning process. They can help you review budgets, timelines, floor plans, guest lists, handle room setup, and more.

5. Aesthetic Features

You shouldn’t have to spend thousands of dollars on extra decor to make the room feel special. Instead, banquet halls should come with a variety of features and amenities. For example, banquet halls with dance floors, ceremonial entrances, and high-quality audio/visual equipment.

Built-in features like lighting, balconies, and lobbies eliminate the need for you to bring in your own external decor.
